Paint does not fail all at once. It gets touched. Every automatic wash, every dry towel, every dusty rinse leaves fine scratches, and those scratches are what turn a black hood gray under a streetlight. Bird droppings and hard water do something worse: they sit, they concentrate as they dry, and they etch into the clear coat.
A coating undoes none of that. It seals the surface it is applied to, which is why the condition of your paint on the day of application decides what you live with for years.
What Our Ceramic Coating in Raleigh Includes
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds to your vehicle's clear coat and cures into a hard, slick layer that sits on top of the paint. It is not a wax and it does not wear off in a season. What it does is change how the surface behaves: contaminants sit on top rather than soaking in, water sheets off instead of pooling, and washing gets considerably less punishing on the finish. The part most people do not hear until they are standing next to their car is that a coating locks in whatever is underneath it. Applied over swirled, etched paint, it preserves swirled, etched paint under a layer of gloss. That is why the correction work comes first and why we test a spot before quoting anything.

Paint correction and preparation
The vehicle is washed and decontaminated first, so nothing is dragged across the paint during polishing. From there the paint is machine polished to remove defects. Once the defects are addressed, every panel is wiped down to strip polishing oils, because a coating will not bond correctly to a surface with residue on it. This preparation stage is the majority of the labor. The coating itself goes on comparatively fast.
Application and cure
The coating is applied panel by panel, spread evenly, then leveled by hand within its working window. Timing matters here more than pressure. We work mobile across Raleigh and bring our own water and power, so nothing needs to be arranged at your address. You do not need to be home. We need the vehicle, and we send photographs as the work progresses and again when it is finished.
Payment is collected after the work is complete and you have seen it, not before. What a coating does not do is make the vehicle immune to damage, and we would rather say that here than have you discover it later. It resists staining, etching and wash marring. It is not armor.
